Valerie Woolard was The Daily Californian blog editor from May 2010 to April 2011. She began working as a news reporter in spring 2008. In fall 2008, she served as student government beat reporter and in spring 2009, she was the assistant university news editor. Outside of her work at the Daily Cal, she majored in cognitive science and French, and graduated from UC Berkeley in May 2011.
