A 20-day break comes to an end today for the No. 27 Cal women's golf team, when it battles the best of the west coast in the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Tacoma, Wash. The 54-hole tournament will be played over a span of three days at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club.

Cal's debut win at the Shanico Invitational almost three weeks ago was especially sweet because it marked the first time the Bears have won the same tournament three years in a row.

Senior Vikki Laing and junior Sarah Huarte paced Cal in the 11-stroke victory, finishing second and third respectively.

The Bears' second tournament of the year will feature the team debut of freshman Mika Takayama, who competed as an individual in the first tournament of the year.

Seven Pac-10 teams will be in the field at this week's invite, including Stanford, USC and UCLA. The Trojans won the tournament in 2000, the last time it was contested.
