An El Cerrito man was stabbed multiple times in Tilden Regional Park yesterday afternoon after he picked up a woman, police said.

Andrew Ting, 29, was found at about 2 p.m. at Grizzly Peak Boulevard and Spruce Street by Berkeley and East Bay Regional Parks police officers, said East Bay Regional Parks Sgt. Jon King. The victim had been stabbed multiple times in the chest and neck, King said.

Police are looking for a woman who may be driving the man's car-a 2001 Honda Accord with the license plate 4HSX791.

Ting was taken to Highland Hospital in Oakland, where he was listed in critical condition yesterday.

Ting told police he picked up the woman and then drove her to the park on Brook Road near Lake Anza, where she allegedly stabbed him while they were parked, King said.

The suspect is described as a 19-year-old white woman with a medium build and a blond ponytail, King said.

Police do not know if the two knew each other before the incident, or where the man picked up the woman, King said.

Anybody with information about this incident can call East Bay Regional Parks Police Department at 881-1833.
