When your teammate grabs 23 rebounds and is named the Pac-10 Player of the Week, chances are you'll get overlooked. But Lauren Ashbaugh's performance over the weekend was just as important as Shavaki Jackson's in helping Cal earn its first conference win of the season and ending the Bears' nine-game losing streak.

Ashbaugh - a Redmond, Wash. native - went home and played two of her best games of the season against the Washington schools. She notched a double-double in both games, shooting 50 percent from the field and grabbing 20 rebounds over the weekend.

The 6-foot-2 junior played a near-perfect game in Cal's win over Washington Saturday. She set the tone for the game when her three-pointer gave Cal a 3-0 lead, and the momentum that led to a fast start. In 38 minutes, Ashbaugh was 6-of-12 from the field for 18 points, grabbed 10 boards, had one assist, a block, two steals and no turnovers.
