Multiple shots were fired this afternoon at the 1500 block of Oregon Street in South Berkeley, according to Berkeley police Officer Andrew Frankel. No one was hurt in the incident.

At 2:25 p.m. today, officers near the scene heard the shots as they were fired, Frankel said. Upon responding to the scene at 1534 Oregon St., they made contact with a witness who reported that multiple shots had been fired.

According to Frankel, possible suspects were last seen fleeing south on California Street.

Frankel said the investigation is ongoing and further information is currently unavailable.
