Earthquake Strikes Near Berkeley

A 3.0 magnitude earthquake struck near Berkeley at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake was centered two miles east-southeast of the city at a depth of 7.3 miles.
