The ASUC Judicial Council ruled early Saturday morning that the petition to recall ASUC Senator John Moghtader adhered to the specificity guidelines set forth by the constitution, allowing the recall election to move forward.

The recall election is planned for Jan. 26 and 27. Doubts remain, however, as to whether the election can be organized in time.

Kiira Johal, interim chair of the Judicial Council, has also filed a dissenting opinion, asserting that she did not find the petition to be adequately specific, making it in her opinion unconstitutional.
