Everyone loves a good surprise, so here's hoping the ASUC SUPERB Spring Concert lives up to its hype.

You're probably itching to know the identity of the surprise guests, but much as we'd love to spill, it would be downright unkind to reveal the details.

So here's what we can tell you. The show is on Lower Sproul Plaza this Friday at 5:30 p.m. Good news for those of you still lamenting the $5 you shelled out for Yellowcard last year: This year's Spring Concert is free. Whether or not the surprise lives up to your expectations, you've really got nothing to lose.

What else can we tell you? Well, not a whole lot. We can confirm that The Shatners, as the musical guests were originally billed, will not be appearing.

Of course, we can always keep our fingers crossed for an appearance by Shatner himself, though I don't know if his epic rendition of "Mr. Tambourine Man" would mesh with the main act.
