Boy Power
Kevin is such a hottie! The way trench coats drape so well over his broad frame; that older male demeanor contrasted with the other "boys"; those edible, bushy eyebrows - trust me that it all looks better in person.

Cal, Card Clash on Farm

Letters to Sports: Freshman Still Optimistic
When I arrived here in early August, I have to admit to being naive concerning the record of the football team. It seemed as if everyone I asked would not give me a straight answer, and it took a trip to the Cal website for me to finally figure out how the Golden Bears fared in the fall of 1998.

Boy Power
Kevin is such a hottie! The way trench coats drape so well over his broad frame; that older male demeanor contrasted with the other "boys"; those edible, bushy eyebrows - trust me that it all looks better in person.

Being Unconventional
Being John Malkovich is weird (sometimes merely for the sake of being weird), unconventional, utterly strange, and completely absurd, but it is also one of the most entertaining movies of the fall. The oddest thing about the film is that it was made at all.

Symphony of Treble
It's amazing how quickly your perspectives can can change. The last time I saw Blonde Redhead, in April of 1998 opening for Fugazi, I thought they were mostly aimless noise. In 1999, trained on hours of U.S. Maple and Gastr Del Sol, the band seems as poppy as the Pulsars.

Bring The Pain
Tune in to the world-famous Wakeup Show, and sooner or later you'll hear the DJs bitching about how real hip-hop isn't being represented. That kind of talk has always pissed off a lot of heads, especially out here on the West Coast. What do those fools in New York mean by "real hip-hop?" Bragging about how broke you are instead of how paid - is that what an MC has to do to keep it real? Well, fuck that. Give me that sold-out commercial shit any day.
