Cal Clings to Running Game
The Cal football team has been mired in an offensive funk dating back to far too long.

Was Blind, But Now Eyes See
Imagine trying to draw a car on a computer screen with the monitor shut off. With a computer program designed by a UC Berkeley engineer, this seemingly impossible task has become a tangible reality.

Campus Health Officials at Odds Over Abortion Pill
Just days after the Food and Drug Administration approved the abortion drug for use in the United States, campus health officials remain undecided as to whether the Tang Center will dispense the drug.

Oski the Slumlord
Before I offer my take on the "housing crisis" that now plagues the greater Bay Area like traffic plagues Los Angeles, I would like to expound on the above title and the university's disrespect and disregard for students. In no way am I trying to denigrate the Cal mascot. However, the university that Oski represents is the second ugliest creature I know. The ugliest creature I know is the UC system. Most people think the UC system exists for students and higher education. Perhaps at one time it did, but it doesn't anymore.

America Jocks the Olympics
Two physically fit, trim, and healthy guys, desperately grasping at each others jiggies may seem like something most guys would, shall we say, prefer not to watch. But for some reason, somehow, I found this display on television fascinating, and I kept watching.

Letters to Sports: Fresno Pride
Reading Gavin McMeeking's column made me feel sick ("A Very Fresno Weekend," Sept. 25). It's ignorant people like him that keep giving Fresno a bad rap. I grew up in Fresno, actually Clovis which is a bit of a step up, but you probably would have felt sick there too. I am a Cal alum and was a 16-time All American on our women's swimming team which won two national titles last season. I am a true Bears fan, but the Bulldogs have a place in my heart because I grew up there.
