UCPD released composite sketches Monday of male suspects wanted in connection with separate incidents of sexual battery and sexual assault on campus last week.

The suspect in the first incident - in which a female UC Berkeley student was allegedly inappropriately grabbed as she walked on the east side of the Valley Life Sciences Building at about 10:50 p.m. Thursday - is described as a male in his late 20s of a medium build, about 5 feet 6 inches tall with blond or light brown hair, an unshaven face and "bad teeth," according to a UCPD crime alert detailing the incident. At the time of the encounter, he was wearing a red and white striped knitted wool jacket with a hood.

The suspect UCPD is looking for in connection with the robbery and sexual assault that occurred a few hours later is described as a thin male in his 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with short brown hair and an unshaven face. At the time of the incident, he was wearing blue denim overalls and a green sweatshirt, according to another UCPD crime alert.

In this incident, the suspect surprised another female student as she was walking northbound through Haviland Grove at about 12:30 a.m. Friday morning, allegedly robbing her and forcing her to perform a sexual act on him before fleeing northbound from the scene.

UCPD has maintained that it is not ruling out the possibility that the suspects could be the same man. The department is urging anyone who may have witnessed or have any information regarding the incidents to call the department's Criminal Investigations Bureau at (510) 642-0472.
