The Cal rugby team won its 25th national championship at Stanford's Steuber Rugby Stadium today, beating BYU, 19-7.

Senior lock Eric Fry, who scored the game's first try in the fourth minute, earned the final's MVP.

The Cougars have met Cal in fifth consecutive title games, and edged the Bears last year, 25-22.
