More than 90 students organized into 25 teams gathered in Soda Hall on a rainy Valentine's Day and Eve to take part in the annual Hackathon competition, organized by a number of student groups, including [email protected], CSUA, IEEE, HKN and UPE.

Working individually or in teams, participants had 18 hours to design and build programs, web apps or

hacks to present to the audience and a panel of judges that included Cal alumni, faculty and industry leaders.
